Retanol Xtreme Screed

Floor Build Integrity is proud to be an approved UK installer of Retanol® Xtreme Pro 1 Screed, the market leading, award winning BREEAM and TÜV Certified quick drying, very high early strength screed additive.

 

Retanol® Xtreme Screed delivers significant programme savings and offers the following guaranteed benefits:

 

• Drying time of 48 hours for tile finishes, and 72 hours for all other floor finishes for screeds up to 50mm for non-heated screeds and 65mm for heated screeds

• Obtainable minimum compressive strength of 40 N/mm² to 60 N/mm²

• Obtainable minimum flexural strength of 6 N/mm² to 8 N/mm²

• 80-90% of final screed strength achieved within the first 3 to 4 days

• Bonded screeds from 25mm (and even 15mm when used with ZE Bonding Agent), and un-bonded/floating screeds from 35mm

• Underfloor heating can be turned on 24 hours after installation (please see the UFH protocol below and on our website for more detailed information).

• Insensitive to moisture so suitable for permanently wet areas

• Very low tension so shrinkage cracks are minimal or even avoided completely

• No curing required

• No fibres required

• No DPM required on top of Retanol screed

• Long workable life (90 to 120 minutes) despite its short curing time

• Foot traffic after 24 hours, site traffic after 48 hours, and fully loadable after 5 to 7 days

• Excellent thermal conductivity (λ= 2.35 [W/m²K) with underfloor heating due to self-compaction and reduced air pores

From a health and safety perspective, some screed additives can be very harmful to human health as they contain the possible human carcinogen carbon black, and respirable crystalline silica which can cause silicosis. Retanol Xtreme, however, holds the prestigious TÜV Rheinland Certificate which means it is the only screed additive recognised under European law as having no negative impact on human health when handled or added into a floor screed.
